LA School of Comedy seeks to provide a practical and comprehensive in-person or hybrid internship program for college students committed to a career in media, social media, production, and/or entertainment. While grade point average, community service, leadership experience, and prior internship experience are important factors weighed when assessing student applications, we are ultimately seeking a candidate who is enthusiastic, driven, charismatic, and committed to continuing to develop the LA School Of Comedy as the thriving black-owned business that is a pillar of the Los Angeles comedy scene.

To be eligible for the internship, applicants must be 18 years of age and currently a sophomore, junior or senior in good standing at an accredited 4-year college or university. In some cases, the LA School Of Comedy will consider a 2nd year community college student. Candidates should be seeking degrees in Broadcasting, Mass Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Film, Film Production, Theater, and/or other media-related disciplines.

General Information: LA School of Comedy Internships are unpaid. Interns are expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week during a 8 week internship period. Interns MUST receive academic credit for the internship and must provide the necessary paperwork from their college or university within one week of their acceptance as a LA School of Comedy intern. The LA School of Comedy is also open to bringing the intern on as a full time employee if they demonstrate an exceptional degree of aptitude and passion for the job.

Preferred Skills: Adobe Premier Pro or any equivalent audiovisual editing software and experience with ATEM Black Magic Board.
